If i buy the Budapest card, where on the airport is the delivery point?

    • Budapest Cards March 17, 2014 at 10:05 am

      Hello William,
if you ordered your card online in advance with the 5% discount, you can pick up the Budapest Card at the terminals of Budapest Airport: terminal 2A or terminal 2B both have a tourist office (well signed for Budapest Tourist Info).

Opening hours of the tourist office on Budapest Airport:
Terminal 2A, daily from 8 am to 11 pm
Terminal 2B, daily from 10 am to 10 pm

If you arrive later than 11 pm we do not recommend buying the Budapest card with an airport pickup, as no tourist office is open. Instead you can get your card in the city center tourist offices. But perhaps for late night arrival the best is to order the card to your hotel (the card delivery is free of charge for online reservations).

  • Anne August 9, 2014 at 3:02 pm

    Hello,

After my 72 hour card has expired but before May of 2015, can I still get the discount at a restaurant or entrance to a museum? I understand the travel portion is only valid for 72 hours, are the other benefits only available for 72 hours also?

    Thanks.
    Anne

    • Budapest Cards August 12, 2014 at 9:02 am

Hello Anne, we are sorry but discounts outside the 72 hours period cannot be used. The card is valid for 72 hours and not longer. It is not only the travel portion that is valid for 72 hours but all the rest of the benefits (museum entries, restaurant discount vouchers, etc.)

  • Tonia December 11, 2014 at 1:19 pm

Hello.I am a student (20years old) and as you know I have already discounts in numerous entrance fees. If I purchase the Budapest Card , I will have the discounts that it offers in the already reduced price or in the regular price?
For example,to enter in a museum I have to pay 900 HUF because I am under the age of 26 ,whereas those who are over 26 pay 1800HUF .The Budapest Card offers a discount 25% in the already reduced price or in the original price?

Please let me know as soon as you can.
    Thank you in advance,
    Tonia

    • Budapest Cards December 11, 2014 at 3:38 pm

      Dear Tonia,
the discount reduces the original price, which usually results the same amount as the student price in itself. Unfortunately there is no further discount from the student price. Thank you for your understanding.

  • sandra February 3, 2016 at 4:29 pm

    Hi
I’m looking to purchase the above card and was wondering where the free walking tour goes

    • Budapest Cards February 4, 2016 at 9:31 am

      Hi Sandra,
one walking tour is on the Pest side, in the city centre starting from 31 Vaci Street, the shopping street of Budapest visiting the nearby attractions like the St Stephen’s Basilica, the Danube Promenade and more. The other walking tour, meeting point in front of the Matthias Church on Szentharomsag Square, included in Budapest Card is one is on the Buda side, covering the Buda Castle area, the Fisherman’s Bastion, the Matthias Church and the many courts and squares up the Buda Castle Hill (tickets inside the Buda Castle are included but there is no guided tour inside the attractions as it is an open air walking tour).
Both tours are 2 hours, comprehensive and a great way to take a closer look at lots of beautiful sights and enjoy them personally.

  • Hector November 13, 2016 at 11:17 am

Bonjour, Nous allons à Budapest dans quelques semaines. Nous avons plus de 65 ans. Est ce intéressant de prendre la carte pour les musées et autres monuments ? ou bien existe-t-il une autre carte pour les visites ? Je vous remercie.

    • Budapest Cards November 13, 2016 at 3:09 pm

      Bonjour Hector,

  • Aleks July 29, 2017 at 11:11 pm

    Greetings,
I am trying to order Budapest cards to pick up at the airport. My arrival date will be in September of 2017, so the form is rejecting my airport pickup.
Does this mean that there will no longer be a kiosk at the airport to pick up and activate my travel card? How am I supposed to get to the city center without my card? No, I don’t want the card delivered to where I am staying if I can’t use it to get there from the airport, 😀
The cost of getting from the airport to the city center without a travel card is so high that it makes buying the card pointless.
    Please advise.
    Best, Alex

    • Budapest Cards July 30, 2017 at 9:00 am

      Dear Aleks,
      thank you for contacting us.

    Hi,
I will be visiting Budapest in October and was wondering whether the free delivery process is safe because I expect to check-in my hotel at around 10 pm (on the 1st October 2017). However, I will only start using the card on the following day (2nd October 2017), early morning. I wonder if the card can be delivered on the 1st of October to the hotel lobby (Gozsdu Court Aparthotel) so that when we check-in the hotel we are able to collect from the receptionist.

Besides that, I would like to ask whether the 10% discounts for airport shuttle is covered for 100E bus? Can I purchase the ticket in advance during my Budapest valid period?

    Thank you.
